ADU (Advanced Display Unit) 7 Inch Autosport
ADU (Advanced Display Unit) 7 Inch Autosport
Introducing the ADU7 AutoSport Display, identical in specifications to the standard ADU7 but equipped with a 37-position AutoSport connector, replacing the AMP connector on the original ADU7. AutoSport connectors are employed in top-tier motorsport and are the most compact and robust connectors available. They feature massive gold-plated contact points, requiring the appropriate tools for operation.
We take pride in unveiling the ECU Master Racing Dash product family, specifically the ADU5 and ADU7, developed in response to the market's demand for a cost-effective dash display with logging capabilities. Our goal was to craft a fully customizable, feature-rich, high-quality solution catering to competitive drivers. Collaborating with professional drivers and race engineers, the ADU was meticulously designed to meet their stringent demands.
Above all, the ADU is engineered to display all critical information in an easily readable format, complemented by a comprehensive strategy for displaying alerts.
Our Advanced Display Units are available in 5" and 7" versions, both featuring high-quality, anti-glare screens ensuring optimal visibility under varied lighting conditions. The ADU comes with multiple pre-configured pages that end-users can tailor to display pertinent data during each racing phase (e.g., practice, qualifying, race, troubleshooting). Pages can be manually or automatically switched based on defined conditions. Each channel displayed on a page (meters, icons, text, etc.) can be conveniently adjusted in real-time using user-friendly Windows-based software. Our extensive overlay system facilitates multi-page display of crucial data (e.g., low oil pressure, fastest lap, etc.) independently of the actual displayed page.
The ADU is equipped with 15 ultra-bright RGB LEDs serving as an advanced gear-dependent shift light, customizable with user-defined logic (for alerts, low fuel, etc.). Leveraging IR beacons or a GPS system transforms the display into a potent lap timer featuring predictive timing capabilities. Selecting the qualification page engages a "Qualification mode" utilizing advanced predictive lap timing based on automatically updated "best" reference laps.
User-configurable timers can be tailored for added functionality (e.g., pit stop timer, etc.). Additionally, the ADU supports thermal cameras for monitoring brake pads or tire temperatures (up to 16 points per tire). Communication with other vehicle devices is facilitated through two built-in independent CAN-BUS communication ports. CAN templates are provided for the most popular ECUs, fully configurable to integrate our hardware with nearly any motor management system.
To ensure seamless functionality, our device is built on a 32-bit automotive controller paired with a state-of-the-art graphics processor. This combination offers the ideal environment for engineers or drivers, guaranteeing anti-aliasing, high-quality graphics at 50 frames per second. For further data analysis, data channels can be logged onto a USB flash drive at a frequency of up to 500Hz. All these "Must Have" features and more are enclosed in a robust, specially CNC-machined, black-anodized housing.
Moreover, free, easy-to-install firmware upgrades further enhance system capabilities (e.g., new strategies, trigger patterns, CAN data streams).
